Dear message board members and other site visitors,
this message is posted up to let you know about the general requirements of posting news and giving credits to the different sources. Recent troubles with various message board members reminded me to give you a clear picture about the rules I do use at VX and expect you to follow.
News are facts. Facts, because they are real and can be proven. In the web world, we prove to be true in the way of giving credit to the original source. The original source is the webpage that posted the given info first. If you post news from the various movie sites, you give us a link to the original website. Example: VD interview from DDD magazine (www.dddmagazine.com). If you spot the news at an other VD/PB fanpage, costum says you credit both the original source and the second page you took the info from (www.vinfansite.com). Providing the backlinks is the only way you prove us, your post is creditable and not just a hoax.
If you post images, pls beware of the users with slow modem connections. Never post more than 10 normal sized images per thread. If you only post the thumbnails, you might wish to add more. When posting up scans/pics from photo calls etc., pls name always the photo agencies, photographers etc, plus the date, the image was made, or the issue of the magazine.
When you post info on the VX board, you accept that your topic might be posted on the main site unless you state otherwise within the post. When posts from the board go to the main site, I always credit the posters name, and the original source. If you have a website, I usually provide backlinks to your site, but if you have special link requests, let me know.
Unlike common beliefs VX is not the CNN or Reuters, but a private website. The info that shows up here is not for copy/paste and spread all over the web within an eyeblink. If you see something you like posted here, and want to post on an other site/board, pls do they way giving credit to the site. Credit is usually thanks to Kriszta (or XXX username) @ VinXperience, with a backlink to VX. Pls always and only link to the main site: www.vindiesel.hu. Message board pages or VX subpages might later vary, but the main page is constant. In case of VX-extra materials, pls do not copy more than a paragraph, and give a backlink to us. Materials, that are part of the site, like the TCoR success analisis are expected not to be touched.
Giving credit to the original sources is not your grace, but a very basic of any web act. Sources are only what make the news real, you miss the credits and you are considered as a hoax, or a gossiper. Pls respect your fellow posters by naming them, do not rip off sites and annihilate someone elses work. Its very easy to spot those who c/p VX, and at the end Ill get to you.
